Lady Jane Wilde 1821-1896

Born in Dublin, Oscar Wilde’s mother was one of the most successful writers in nineteenth-century Ireland. Declared national poetess under the name ‘Speranza’, she was best-known for her essays, translations and collections of Irish folktales like Ancient Legends, Mystic Charms, and Superstitions (1887).

Created and printed in Dublin, Ireland, with the support of UNESCO Dublin City of Literature it is a perfect card for lovers of books and Irish legends and culture.
