Maeve Brennan 1917-1993

Born in Dublin, Maeve moved to the US when her father was appointed as first Irish ambassador. First to Washington and then to New York. Known mainly for her work as a writer for Harper’s Bazaar and her column ‘The Talk of the Town’ in the New Yorker under the pen name ‘The Long-Winded Lady’, she gained posthumous success with the publication of The Springs of Affection: Stories of Dublin (1998) and The Visitor (2000).

Created and printed in Dublin, Ireland, with the support of UNESCO Dublin City of Literature, it is a perfect print for lovers of books and Irish culture.
